January 20th, 2010 - 11:45hrs Structure Fire reported at 242 N. Cherry St.-On shift commander arrival, heavy fire from the rear of this 2 1/2 story wood. Crews stretched a 1 3/4 for first attack line, followed by a 2 1/2 for backup line. Truck crews set up for a defensive attack. Shift commander struck a 2nd alarm immediately. Mutual aid from the city of Meriden was also brought to the scene.
