Engine 1 is a 2005 Spartan Gladiator from Crimson Fire Apparatus  It is class A pumper with a mid-ship 1500 GPM pump, carries 793 gallons water. The cab can be mechanically tilted to check the engine compartment. The ladders can be lowered mechanically from the side of the truck for ease of removing them. It carries various equipment for forcible entry and firefighting. It also carries EMS gear for first responder medical emergencies. This engine responds to all structure fires in town, medical and other emergencies on the east side of town. It is also a backup for the west side of town if the other career engine is out.
