APPARATUS & STATIONS The town of Wallingford has six Firehouses located throughout Wallingford, there are two Career houses located in the central portion of the town and four volunteer houses located at each corner of town. The town has 8 class A pumpers, 2 Ladder/Aerial trucks, 2 Medic Units, 1 command vehicle, 2 mini-pumper Squads, 1 Heavy Rescue, 1 ALS Rescue and 2 Tankers. Engine Company 1 located on North Main Street houses one career engine and a ALS rescue staffed with 16 firefighter-Paramedics rotating day/night from 4 shifts. Headquarters Company located at 75 Masonic Avenue houses a career engine, ladder truck, medic unit, command vehicle and a spare ambulance and pumper. This station is staffed with 12 career firefighters rotating day/night from 4 shifts. It also is the home of the Fire Marshall's Office, Chief's Office and Secretarial Staff. Engine Company 4 is a volunteer station located on Hall Avenue in the Cook Hill Section of Wallingford. Operates limited basis from 6pm-8am and weekends. Engine Company 5 is a volunteer station located on Hope Hill Road in the Yalesville section of Wallingford houses one engine and a mini-pumper Squad. Engine Company 7 is a volunteer station located on Barnes Road houses one engine a heavy rescue and a tanker. Engine Company 8 is a volunteer station located on Kondracki Road houses one engine, one mini-pumper squad, a tanker and a backup aerial.
